«We know very little about Mrs. Vullo and Mr. Jourdan. The only evidence we have is a box of letters that was found in the abandoned house, and some official documents we received from the Plaquemines Parish Government. We have recuperated the letters from oblivion, and we are now hoping that the sentiments they evoke can survive.

We believe in a form of documentation that relies on intuition, affective responses to evidence, active fieldwork, and experimentation. We champion our findings as much as our failures to understand.»
